Yoga of Recovery

8 Class Series

5:00PM- 6:15PM MTN- every Wednesday starting April 7th– May 26th 

This is an inclusive practice for anyone interested in creating space between thought and action.  Whether you are working to break limiting habits or are in recovery from addiction, this class is for you!  

This 8-week series will help you learn to use the tools and practices of yoga to support self-regulation that enhance physical, mental and spiritual well-being.  We start with a check-in and discussion on a specific topic per week, followed by guided meditation, breathwork and an intentional, themed yoga practice adjusted to the needs of the students.  The asanas and sequences include a series of Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative techniques. 

Although not every class is mandatory to attend, it is strongly encouraged to take at least one block (4 classes per block) to really deepen the knowledge of Ayurvedic recovery and to enhance any work that participants may be currently practicing or to jumpstart the healing journey. 

Suggested props: 

Necessary: Yoga mat, blankets (1-2)

Optional: Notebook/Journal, Student Log (Will be distributed once registered for class), Yoga Blocks, Eye Pillow, Yoga Strap, or anything else that will allow you to feel as comfortable as possible

  • Practices around being in PAIN

4/27-Week 4: Life is Prana: Stress

5/26-Week 8: Life is Sweet: Ether

  • Sense of sound-ears-mouth-vocal cords

  • How to sweeten our lives
  • Group Practice around Ether element
